The small (but perfectly formed!) Sock Creatures Team design, create and manufacture each and every Sock Creature Kit from our studio in Cornwall.
In 2009 we created our first ever craft kit - the Sock Monkey Kit.
Sock Monkeys are the original sock creature, created in America during the great depression by imaginative housewives as toys for their children.
The sock monkey has a huge following in America and is classically made from Rockford red heeled socks.
Here at Sock Creatures we have breathed life into this traditional toy, making a fun kit with our favourite stripy bright socks and easy to follow instructions.
We were instantly inspired to create more creatures in a similar style and the Sock Creatures range started to grow. We are delighted to now have more than 40 different creatures to choose from.
Each kit contains everything you need to make your very own creature - socks, stuffing, needle & thread and some bits to decorate - all you need is scissors and maybe some help from an adult if you are under 14.

Q: What is included in a Sock Creature Kit?
A: Your kit contains everything you need to make a creature from a simple pair of socks. The only thing you will need is a pair of scissors. We include Socks, Stuffing, needle and thread, instructions, template and some felt to use to embellish your creature. You will also get a Sock Creature ID card for your new friend!
Q: How hard is it to make a Sock Creature? Can a child make one?
A: Most of our Sock Creatures are suitable for children aged 14 and over. Younger children will need some help from an adult as it involves using scissors and a needle.
Q: Can I use a sewing machine to make my creature?
A: If you are an experienced sewer, it may be possible to use a sewing machine for sewing the main body parts of your sock creature. You will probably have to hand sew the body parts together and the buttons for eyes.
Q: I am a bit stuck with the instructions. Can you help me?
A: Yes! We try to make all of our instructions and templates as clear as possible, but we are here to help if you have any trouble, call or email us and we will be more than happy to help!
Q: Do you sell Sock Creature Kits wholesale?
A: Yes! Visit our 'wholesale' section or drop us a line to chat about stocking the kits in your store.
Q: Do you offer discounts for bulk buys?
A: Yes, please get in touch if you are buying more than ten creatures.
Q: How long does delivery take?
A: We dispatch all orders within 1 -2 working days and send all orders with Free with Royal Mail, 2nd Class. Delivery takes 2-5 working days. There are also 1st Class and DPD options available for a speedier delivery.
Q: My Sock Creature Kit order hasn't turned up, what should I do?
A: Get in touch, we use Royal Mail for all of our post and very occasionally things can get lost in the postal system. If you think this may be the case, give us a call or email and we will help you out straight away.
Q: I am not 100% happy with my Sock Creature Kit, what should I do?
A: We hope that you will love your Sock Creature Kit and have a blast making your creature, but if for any reason your kit is not suitable please get in touch. Provided that your kit is in good condition, with all components present and complete you may return your kit for a refund or exchange within 30 days.
Q: I think there is something missing from my kit! What should I do?
A: Get in touch straight away. All of our kits are put together by hand by our Sock Creature Elves and very very occasionally something gets missed out. We can send out the replacement for you straight away so give us a call on 01872 222231
Q; What’s the stuffing made out of?
A: The toy stuffing supplied in the kits is white polyester fibre fire rated to BS5852
Q: Can I sell Sock Creatures made using your kits?
A: No, afraid not. The instructions included in the kits are for personal, non commercial use only. Please do not copy, resell or sell any products made from these instructions.
